Among Mike Buchanon’s responsibilities at Michigan State University is supporting the university’s enterprise-wide ANGEL deployment – a system of more than 45,000 students – yet Buchanon consistently finds time to contribute to the ANGEL community in multiple ways. Buchanon’s position gives him a unique perspective on scaling ANGEL which he actively shares. He also often offers to engage ANGEL users directly and readily imparts his technical expertise among the ANGEL community.

Adam Hauerwas

As ANGEL Administrator and Application Software Support Specialist at Providence College, Adam Hauerwas has been involved with ANGEL since 2001. He loves to find, and to help others find, creative ways to get the most out of ANGEL. Hauerwas’ well-researched and thorough responses to questions from the ANGEL user community evidence the value he places on contributing to and building a strong ANGEL community.

Jana Hickey

A driving force behind the one of the original K12 ANGEL adoptions more than five years ago, Jana Hickey had the foresight to see how ANGEL could positively impact the K12 learning environment. Among her exemplary efforts on behalf of the citizens of Louisville and as a model for the ANGEL user community are: developing an “ementor” program where educational professionals train and teach their peers to effectively incorporate educational technology into instruction; promoting the participation of parents in education using ANGEL; helping create CollegeNow a program that allows students to take college courses in ANGEL while they are in high school.
